Optical Calcite also known as iceland spar, this type of calcite is transparent and has a unique optical property called refraction, which causes objects viewed through it to appear doubled.

Cobaltoan Calcite - This type of calcite is pinkish to reddish in colour and contains traces of cobalt, which gives it a distinguished hue.

Honey Calcite - This calcite is golden or honey in colour.

Manganoan calcite - This calcite can be pink to reddish purple, and it contains traces of manganese - Mangano Calcite can be UV reactive.
